The Arcade
Open a game from your own device, or pick a free one off the shelf, and it runs in the page. The emulators come from IASoft's RetroMetroEmulators project: cycle-accurate emulators written in Rust, compiled to WebAssembly and drawn with WebGPU, or WebGL 2 where a browser has no WebGPU.
The History Line
Sixty years of video games, 1947 to 2005, laid out as one metro line. Every station is an era with its story, and the stations with games let you play them, including canvas recreations of early games such as OXO and Tennis for Two.
Homebrew Collection
New games for old consoles, made by fans and given away. The ones Retro Metro hosts are openly licensed, so you can download them or press Play. Homebrew for consoles the Arcade can't play yet is linked from its makers.
Your games stay with you
The emulator runs in your browser, and your games, saves and save states stay on your device. No account is needed to play. Signed in, your battery saves and memory cards follow you between devices.
